KONAKLI
Konakli is a modern tourism centre
located 12 kms west of Alanya. The town is situated in wonderful
rural surroundings close to the Mediterranean Sea. There are many
large hotel complexes in the area towards the seafront but there is
also a good local village atmosphere due to the many farms in the
area. Konakli has excellent transport opportunities to Alanya and
Antalya airport, since the main coastal road runs through the town.
The area has more then 60 accommodation facilities providing up to
35.000 bed capacity. There are more then 1,500 local trades and 55%
people work in tourism, 27% in farming, 15% in trading, and 3% in
industry work. In total there are 165 km of roads net of which140 km
are asphalt, 15 km are parquet roads, and 10 km are stabilized
roads. 40.000 m² of the roads are arranged with pavement parquet
stone and colourful line stones. Wastewater removal institution
construction work was completed and put into service in 2007.
AVSALLAR
Avsallar is an up and coming town for tourists
About 22kms away from Alanya centre, Avsallar is a rapidly growing
small town with about 9.000 local inhabitants. There are many small
hotels dating back a few years and some big new hotel complexes
reflecting the typical tourist features of Avsallar. All along the
main road are lots of small shops selling carpets, gold, textile
products, safaris and day trips to the well-known sights, as well as
the usual daily foods. There is also a regular bus service, going to
Alanya several times a day. There are many restaurants and bars open
from early morning to late at night, offering well known Turkish
cuisine as well as European dishes. All around Avsallar are huge
areas of forests which in some parts go down to the beach. A really
relaxing day can start with a walk through the forest inhaling its
natural essences. Horse riding is also a popular activity around the
town. Avsallar is 113 km far away to Antalya. The Municipilaty of
Avsallar was founded in 1986.
INCEKUM
Incekum is located about 28kms west of Alanya,106
km to Antalya and 96 km to Antalya airport. It is a holiday resort
center known for its exceptionally fine, sandy beaches. The area
offers a commercial center with a range of shops, restaurants which
also serve some of the five star beach hotels.
Incekum Beach has 6kms of sand and is a prime attraction for beach
lovers. Incekum Beach is often talked about as one of the best
beaches on the south coast. It has fine sand and the crystal clear
water deepens very slowly. Because of the shallow water, the beach
is especially recommended to families with children. The beach is
certified as a Blue Flag beach and there are Lifeguard/lifesaving
facilities with lifeguards on duty between 9 a.m. to 6.30 p.m.
The hinterland is pine forests with enviromental education
activities performed by ALCED (Alanya Environmental Education and
Blue Flag Association).
Incekum Picnic and Camping Site is set in an enclave and the site
has a natural seashore where pine forests reach to the sea. Camping
and picnic facilities make this is a sought after summer destination
where locals and tourists hold barbeques and cool off in the shallow
waters of the sea. There is an entrance fee to the picnic site.
Infastructure work is ongoing in Incekum and three driling wells
were opened near the Alara River to obtain the drinking water for
town. 5000 meter sever system was completed, 8500 meter drinking
water lines are operating. The Ministery of forestry appropriated
12000m2 area for picnic and recreation spots. Frequent dolmus
(minibus) service is available to Alanya..
BELEK
Belek is a modern and purpose built beach and
golf resort just 20 minutes away from Antalya airport and within
easy reach of all the areas tourist attractions. Turkeys tourism
profile has risen substantially through Belek’s profile as Europes
best Golf destination (according to Igato). Belek has been
thoughtfully developed to protect the beaches and amazing golf
courses, which nestle in the beautiful lush pine and Euculyptus
forests. With a combination of rich natural flora and forests,
rivers, beaches and historical sites, Belek is a natural paradise
and hosts approximately 20% of Turkey’s population of nesting sea
turtles. The area boasts 574 different species of flora with many
different types of birds which are unique to the area.
Belek is a developing Golf Centre Center of Turkey and currently
holds 11 championship courses many of which have been designed by
famous golfers including Nick Faldo and Colin Montgomerie. In
planning the golf fields, the architects took into special account
the preferences and expectations of European golf players. In Belek,
the perfect sight of the golf fields present the wonderful panorama
and landscape of the neighborhood while providing the golf players
with excellent golf pleasure and competition.
The Kursunlu Waterfalll is a worthwhile place to visit in Belek.
There are over 100 bird species living by this natural wonder. The
hidden cave at the back of the waterfall is a popular place for
visiting. Near Belek there is the Hellenistic city of Perge, which
is rated second after Ephesus and the great amphitheater of Aspendos
which still today hosts open-air classical, ballet and opera
festivals and can hold over 15.000 spectators.
Belek & Kadriye Beaches: Two beaches approximately 5 kms apart but
joined by clean grainy sand. Both have recently been upgraded with
their new facilities including restaurants, bars and shower
facilities. Belek Beach is the busier of the two and is geared more
towards the local market and prices of the facilities reflect this.
Kadriye Beach is geared more towards the tourist market and the main
beach area has been beautifully landscaped with trees and flowers.
The extensive new blue flag beach park facilities have been cleverly
designed with exquisite white sandy beaches all the usual water
sports with shady parks and childrens play areas for a great day out
. Beach side restaurants and bars offer a stylish and relaxing
atmosphere with sumptuous sofas or hammocks so you can enjoy the sea
breeze while soaking up the Mediterranean sunshine. Standards of
cleanliness are high with plenty of brand new shower, toilet and
changing facilities and car parking right on the beach.
CIKCILLI
Cikcilli is situated east of Alanya and is noted
for its green surroundings and many small orange groves. The area is
also denoted for its local Turkish everyday life. Cikcilli is an
area under positive development and many fine apartment complexes
are being built in the area. The buildings are well-planned with
space between them and private areas for parking. Cikcilli is close
to Alanya’s main shopping centre Alanyum which houses many brand
name shops and a cinema. From Cikcilli you have easy public
transport links to the centre of Alanya and down to the Keykubat
beach, which is only 500-700m away.
Cikcilli is a peaceful area and perfect for those who want to live
in quiet surroundings and at the same time have easy access to
Alanya centre.
Recent infastructure works have made provisions for drinking water
and include a 200m2 water depot and 1400 m2 300 pipelines for water.

OBA
Oba is a charming part of greater Alanya and a
local district approximately 3 kms from the centre. The district
runs along the Mediterranean coastline with approximately 3kms of
beaches. Oba has a very good public transport system and the journey
to the centre of Alanya by bus takes approximately ten minutes.
There are many shops and restaurants within Oba including well known
supermarkets and numerous furniture stores. The main centre of Oba
is closed to traffic, which makes it safer for pedestrians to shop
and dine in comfort. Alanya centre is about 15 mins walk away but
there is a local bus which runs along the main beach road every few
minutes. The Municipality of Oba, which is at the East of Alanya
district, has an area of 12.750 km2 and consists of of 6
neighbourhoods. Population of Oba is approximately 14,000. The town
also has various hotels providing a bed capacity of up to 10.000.
Jeep safaris & all other excursions are all available within the
area. There is also a Bowling centre, horse riding club and open air
Pool club open to the public.
Great importance has been attached to the creation of an attractive
district and this is evident in the wide pavements, small squares
and many park areas. Infastructure and Substructure works have been
ongoing with completion of a wastewater sewage system and a waste
water refinery. Moreover, 5 bridges, 32 kms of asphalt roads, 60,000
m2 parquet stone roads and 18000 m2 pavement parquet have been
completed in the town creating a clean and easy environment.
TOSMUR
Tosmur is approximately 5kms east of Alanya
cetnre and stretches far into the Dim Valley which is surrounded by
the Taurus mountains. The Dim river runs through the town and
reaches to the sea from the boundaries of Tosmur.
A quiet and peaceful area, Tosmur offers rural surroundings with
many orange and lemon groves, tranquillity and natural beauty for
the whole family.
It is located close to the Dim River; a famous tourist attraction
through the summer. For many years local Turks have sought refuge by
this river when the summer has become too hot – the reason for this
is the temperature of the river is only about 15 degrees. Both
locals and tourists sit on the floating rafts situated on the river,
enjoy good food and a refreshing bathe in the river. The green
surroundings in Tosmur also tempts with long walks to the Taurus
Mountains. There are jeep safaris and water rafting activities
available in the area. Tosmur also has a beautiful beach promenade
and there are shops and markets for everyday shopping dotted around
the area. The local bus goes to Alanya every 5 minutes during the
day.
KESTEL
Kestel is a very tranquil district which is
suitable for those who want to live peacefully and quietly. The
beautiful rural surroundings give the impression you are living in
the countryside but actually you are not far away from the town.
Thus, the centre of Alanya can be reached within about f15 minutes
using one of the many local buses. The district is situated fairly
close to many wonderful sights and the Dim Valley and River are
awaiting you a mere ten to fifteen minutes drive away. Kestel is
very noticeable for its local Turkish life and many succumb to its
idyllic landscape and the peace and quiet.
Geographically it has rugged landscape and is surrounded by the
Mediterranean Sea to the South, Yaylali Village and Dim Valley in
the North, Mahmutlar village in the East, Tosmur town and Alanya
city central in the West. The town's population is increasing
rapidly because migration from surrounding villages especially from
Dim village to our town.
MAHMUTLAR
The town of Mahmutlar is located in the
Mediterranean region of the Antalya District of Antalya province.
The town is at a distance of approximately 150 kms from Antalya and
10km from Alanya Centre. Following completion of the new airport in
Gazipasa, Mahmutlar will be one of the closest main town centres to
the new airport at a distance of approximately 20 kms. Mahmutlar has
a beach of 4.5 kms in length,and it is the first town to become a
Municipality in Alanya in 1974. Set against the backdrop of the
Taurus mountains and large banana plantations to the North and the
Mediterranean Sea to the South. Kargicak town Is located to the
East, and Kestel town to the West of Mahmutlar.
Mahmutlar has become a lively town with many good restaurants,
shops, banks, post-office and other facilities. Mahmutlar has been
well-planned and has a European standard on the infra-structure.
Pipes, electric and sewer system were installed early - to meet the
expansion of the town. The roads have been rebuilt with cobblestone,
palm-trees, flowers and water-fountains. In between the houses,
there are beautiful parks - and playing-grounds for children. More
and more overseas buyers choose the town of Mahmutlar for their
holiday home. Mahmutlar offers a relaxed yet lively atmosphere with
green and pretty scenery and a long beach promenade. Every Tuesday
and Saturday there is a local market in Mahmutlar and you can buy
anything from clothes and toys to fresh fruit and oriental spices.
There is a good connection with local buses from Mahmutlar to
Alanya.
According to the 2007 census the towns official population was
recorded at 18,000, although in the summer tourist season the town
is bustling with up to 60,000 people. More than 1.400 Dutch, Irish
and German families who live permanently in the town this number is
increasing day by day.
The main road to Alanya currently runs along the beach road, but
construction of a new highway has been started. This road will be
placed far behind the city, closer to the Taurus Mountains.
Following completition of this road the beach road will be changed
to a beautiful boulevard.
KARGICAK
Kargicak lies east of Alanya town and has lately
become a popular area for tourists and property buyers. Kargicak
tempts with its lovely coast-line and an impressive green landscape.
Kargicak has a small local centre with small shops for everyday
necessities, restaurants and bars. Some larger villa parks and
apartment complexes are to be found in Kargicak.. The journey from
Kargicak to Alanya takes about 20 minutes with a local bus.
Substructure activities have been concluded and new roads have been
opened and existing ones widened, bridges to the beds of a stream
and rivers, making apertures and pipes are still being continued.
Especially in summer for our people and foreign guests to have a
rest, picnic areas and children playgrounds projects were started to
be widen. Existing road widening project has been started for the
road to the antique Syedra castle which is in the boundries of the
town.
DEMIRTAS
Demirtas is an area with a distinct local
atmosphere. There are no large hotels full of tourists but instead a
beautiful beach area and silence which makes it easy to enjoy peace
and quiet. Demirtas has lovely natural scenery where the local Turks
farm the land. If you want to hike in forest and mountains, you have
easy access to the Taurus Mountains. Shopping is done at the local
general store or in the small kiosks. There are good public
transport services to Alanya. The journey takes approximately 40
minutes.
